CORE Group Africa Brings iPad To Ghanaian Market

VENTURES AFRICA – Leading technology distributor in Africa, CORE Group Africa, will begin the sale of iPads in Ghana through an approved outlet soon, its Group Africa Communication Manager, Taryn Hyam said today, stating that approved outlets will be announce at an event tomorrow.

She said with the opening of the official outlets, customers will be able to buy genuine iPads from authorised distributors while overcoming the problem of getting the products from third parties.

Apple is offering two-year warranty on iPads purchased from the authorised distributors with additional benefit of good customer services, training on the use of the ipads and after sales support from trained resellers.

The company, which specialises in premier professional and consumer technology brands in Sub-Saharan Africa, will also fix or replace products in line with its policy, once the product was bought from an authorised distributor.

According to Hyam, Apple’s entry into the Ghanaian market was not to compete with other products but to ensure that Ghanaians enjoy the full range of applications and opportunities the iPads provides.

On the issue of high cost, Hyam said the company is considering a hire-purchase plan where payment for the product could be made on installment basis.
