
VENTURES AFRICA - The Nigerian unit of the global oil and energy company Total, on Friday filed its half year report with the Nigerian Stock Exchange, indicating a 34.74 percent rise in its half-year profit-before-tax.
In the report made available to Reuters, the Total Nigeria said its profit rose to 4.46 billion naira ($27.8 million) from 3.31 billion naira ($20.6 million) within the same period last year.
The company’s turnover was 109.84 billion naira ($684.4 million) from 87.48 billion naira ($545 million) in the same period a year ago.
On the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), the stock of Total Nigeria was flat at 130 naira ($0.81) per share.
