
VENTURES AFRICA – A survey carried out by Great Place To Work (GPTW) Institute has certified First Bank of Nigeria Plc as the best place to work in Nigeria. Guinness Nigeria Plc and Guaranty Trust Assurance came in Second and third place respectively.
The companies were selected from the pool of 229 companies that are on the Nigeria Stock Exchange, NGOs, governmental organisation, educational institution in Nigeria as well as multinational companies with presence in Nigeria.
The survey focus on employee-employer relationship, culture and the people management practices through the use of the Trust Wheel theory, which includes credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.
As part of the report, GPTW organized an award, which took place at the Civic Center, Victoria Island, Lagos. It is the first ever GPTW award ceremony to be held in Africa.
GPTW is an international organisation recognised for having the World’s largest annual workplace survey with participation of 4,500 companies in 46 countries globally.
Other companies that came tops include Accenture, Fidelity Bank Plc, Lagos Business School, Financial Institution Training Centre, Total Nigeria Plc, Access Bank Plc and Glaxosmith Beecham Plc.
The top companies that emerged as winners will enter a global data where it will be benchmarked against other companies in 46 countries globally.
